About WTRL

Our Mission

Our mission is to grow participation in competitive Zwift racing through accessible, fair, and consistently well-run events, supported by trusted Zwift-ready products and practical advice.

What we do

Founded in 2018 and incorporated in Alberta, Canada, WTRL has grown from a single community race into a global organiser supporting large-scale virtual competition.

• Operate large weekly events: WTRL Team Time Trial has grown into a major weekly competition with thousands of riders participating each week.
• Build structured leagues: In partnership with Zwift, we help deliver the Zwift Racing League, a global league structure for teams across multiple regions and ability levels.
• Create special competitions: We’ve organised major community events such as the Zwift Nations Challengeand other formats across cycling, running, and multi-sport.
• Support the wider community: We collaborate with community organisers to help bring additional events and championships to life.

Community first

WTRL exists because of the community. We focus on clear rules, transparent results, and formats that make racing fun and meaningful — whether you’re racing weekly with friends or pushing for the podium.

We also support community-led initiatives, including competitions, championships, and charity events — such as the annual WTRL Team Time Trial for World Bicycle Relief, which has raised significant funds for the cause.

Technology that supports competition

Great competition needs great tools. In 2022, WTRL took ownership of ZwiftGPS — a web-based GPS tracking system that enhances the experience of following events and supports additional member features

Race-ready advice & equipment

We also help riders get set up for success. Through our online store, we provide trusted hardware and accessories, backed by practical experience from operating several of the most active competitive ecosystems on Zwift.

The WTRL Store is designed to support our racing community — with the goal of helping riders choose the right equipment to meet their Zwift goals, not just sell products.
