WTRL Racing Finals
17th / 21st May 2022
GOALS:
  • Test out a slimmed version of new Finals format that could be incorporated into future Zwift Racing League seasons.
  • Establish a Team Ranking across the entire Region for the season and determine REGIONAL WINNERS at all levels.
  • To have as much fun and fair competition as possible.

OVERVIEW:
  • The WTRL Racing Finals are independent of the regular ZRL season - No team is obligated to race but all teams are invited.
  • Event times can all be found by visiting our Events Page or at Zwift.
  • SEMI FINALS: Tuesday 17th May 2022 (Event Times for the majority will not change.)
  • FINALS: Saturday 21st May 2022 (Event times MAY have a +/- 2 hours variance to normal).
  • FINALS are BOTH points races. Standard FTS, FAL & FIN points up for grabs.
  • Rider Scoring structure remains the same as the regular season.
  • As each round of the test is 1 race, team score is based solely on rider scoring totals (no league points).
  • Points are NOT carried over. Teams and riders start from 0 points at each stage.
TEAM ELIGIBILITY
  • All teams who have completed at least 1 race in ZRL Season 3 qualify.
  • The maximum number of riders PER TEAM is 6
  • The minimum number of riders PER TEAM is 2 (normally 4 in the regular season)
  • Teams that miss the semi-finals will not be eligible for the finals.
RIDER ELIGIBILITY
  • Must have COMPLETED at least 1 race in the regular season.
  • Must not have received any CODE 7 or 8 DQ with that team during races 1-5 of the regular season.
As this is a test format, we felt the number of 'casualties' in Race 6 would prevent hundreds of teams from being able to field a team.
  • 3-RACE upgrade rule STILL applies
  • Power Limits (published) still apply
  • Riders may represent up to 2 teams
REGIONAL CUP/PLATE/SHIELD/BOWL WINNERS
  • Team to score the most TOTAL RIDER POINTS in their respective races
  • Per Gender, per REGION (OCEANS, EMEA, AMERICAS) Per DIVISION (A1, A2, B1, B2, B3, C1, C2, D1)
  • Where teams are tied the order to determine the winner shall be:
    1. Finish Points
    2. FAL Points
    3. FTS Points
    4. Highest placing rider per team

FINALS BRACKETS

During the 2 WTRL Finals races, we are testing several mechanisms and algortihms relating to both the format itself and our ACE (AutoCat) system. Teams will only populate in their respective Semi Final table once riders from the team have signed up.

This page is best viewed on a personal computer or laptop (we are still working on the visuals and formatting).

Reporting Suspicious Behavior

The Zwift Racing League has been designed to provide both fun and fair competition as well as to grow the Zwift Racing community in an inclusive manner. WTRL and Zwift do work hard in the background to enforce the rules and ensure that our aims are met.

We would like to remind all competitors and teams that social media is not the place to be raising concerns on the legitimacy of riders, teams or a competition and there are official channels to report any suspicious performances.

The official channels are as follows:

  • ZWIFT: Please report using THIS form, ensuring you include all requested information.
  • WTRL: Send an email including the Zwift ID or ZwiftPower profile link, event ID numbers, full details and supporting evidence to [email protected]

PLEASE NOTE To maintain the privacy of our members, we won’t be able to update you on the outcome of your report. Please rest assured we will investigate each concern fully.
